We keep it simple. We look at your vehicle, explain what's going on in plain words, give you a fair price, and do the job properly. If something is better handled elsewhere, like tires, we'll point you to a good local place.
Drivers bring us the jobs that stumped someone else, and many of them keep coming back for years. Ask for Eli, and we'll tell you straight what your vehicle needs.

“I chose E.M. Auto Repair through a recommendation that they were fair and a trustworthy auto place in Spartanburg. I can genuinely say that they are very fair and trustworthy and operate with integrity. I went today there for an oil change and had him look over my VW Beatle. Eli was wonderful! He was informative and fair on the pricing. As a woman, I felt safe to know I have a place to take my car - if it needs repairs. He also recommended local tire places in the area. I highly recommend E.M. Auto. They went above and beyond. I felt safe. I was educated about my vehicle. I left feeling.good. Support local!”
“I have been working with these guys for many years. They have taken care of my ‘16 STi on multiple occasions, from simple fixes and advice to full on engine block replacement. These guys are honest, reliable and friendly! Their work is always very professional and in my opinion superior to any other auto shops around. I 100% recommend to anyone who wants a true mechanic with knowledge and experience and quality customer service. Thanks guys!”
“This shop is definitely the place to go the hours this man put into my car to try and fix it after I bought a lemon and broke down out of town in Spartanburg is insane!!! And he literally only charged me a few hundred dollars!!!! Eli is a stand up guy and he won't lie to you or steer you wrong!!!! I would recommend this shop a thousand times over and if I lived anywhere near here and not 4hrs away my car would be here for every oil change or issue!!!! If your looking for an honest mechanic look no further you found him!!!!!”
“They did a great job repairing my car. My main mechanic could not fix and referred me here. They did a great job communicating the issue and what was needed to fix. Their pricing was also very reasonable. Would recommend them to all.”
“Update! Was back to fix some noise the car was making. Only trust these guys to do the job. Noise fixed and it’s been over month and no more noise. My sweetie running good and feels much better. Excellent service and will be coming again for more!”
